State of Cybersecurity in the country

Due to the fact that the Philippines had just started to adopt the value of CyberSecurity in the country, in totality, the current state is being executed very poorly but it is slowly progressing.

Big contributors for this growth are the initiatives of the advocates in the community to help institutions understand the value of CyberSecurity and by giving advice to most private companies as well as government agencies.
Their good acts to help are really commendable.

That's why we need to gear away from the belief that CyberSecurity is about buying security products. Starting to study the value of CyberSecurity, it’s framework, value to technology, impact to the people and to the process really matter.

Our country should understand that Cyber threat is exponentially increasing due to digital revolution. Thus, readiness in at least  basic  security model is important. Confidentiality, integrity and availability are already there and were developed to help people think about various parts of IT security and surely preventing different attacks.

Honestly, I'm excited to see agencies and companies incorporating CyberSecurity as part of their strategy. This is for us to have a better and secure CyberSpace in the Philippines.

Action and Education are the keys.
