May bihirang pagkakataon ang bawat isa na mapabilang sa isang grupo na tunay na nagmamalasakit at nagpapahalaga sa komunidad. Mahalaga ang bawat hakbang na ating gagawin, sapagkat dito nakikita kung ano ang tunay nating layunin at pinahahalagahan. Ang pagpapakalat ng tamang impormasyon, at ang pagkakaroon ng integridad sa bawat salita, ay nagpapalalim sa ating pagkakaisa at nagtataguyod ng respeto sa bawat miyembro.
Ang pagiging totoo sa iyong sarili at sa iyong mga kasama ay isang hakbang patungo sa mas mabuting samahan. Pinangunahan ni Marco ang mga kabataan na nagnais magdaos ng mga aktibidad, habang nag-aalala si Lola Imang at ang iba pang matatanda na mawawala ang kanilang tradisyon.
Kanina pa lang, excited na kaming bumiyahe papuntang Bulacan para dalawin si Mama. Kahit may traffic, handa kami. Pagdating namin, pahinga muna kami, bumili ng ice cream, at nagsimula sa pagdarasal. Matapos nito, naglinis kami ng puntod at natuwa kami sa ganda ng kinalabasan.
Ngayong Nobyembre, bumalik kami sa sementeryo sa Bulacan upang ayusin ang libingan ni Mama—isang simpleng paraan ng pagpapaalala sa kanyang alaala. Sa bawat pag-aayos at kandila, parang muli siyang kasama namin, ang mga alaala ng kanyang pagmamahal bumabalik sa aming puso.
Pag-uwi namin, tila naging inspirasyon ang pagdalaw na iyon. Agad naming inilabas ang mga dekorasyong pang-Pasko. Mula sa makukulay na ilaw hanggang sa mga simpleng palamuti, bawat isa ay may kuwentong hatid, bawat isa ay muling nagbigay-kulay sa tahanan.
Ang dekorasyon ay higit pa sa pagpapaganda ng bahay. Ito ay paggunita sa magagandang alaala—isang pag-anyaya na muling damhin ang diwa ng pagmamahalan, kasiyahan, at pag-asa na dala ng kapaskuhan.
Ngayong panahon ng Pasko, bawat ilaw at palamuti ay paalala ng pagmamahal.

Parang pelikula ang kwento ko, puno ng tensyon at damdamin! Mula sa tahimik na pamumuhay sa Pilipinas, bigla akong napadpad sa isang hindi inaasahang paglalakbay. Sa bawat hakbang mula sa pagdating ko sa Pakistan, hindi ko akalaing magbabago nang ganito ang lahat—mula sa mga unang araw ng trabaho, hanggang sa madilim na gabing iyon nang dukutin ako at dalhin sa isang pabrika. Doon ko naramdaman ang takot na hindi ko pa naranasan noon.
Tila bawat detalye ng panaginip na iyon ay totoo—mula sa pagtakbo ko para makatakas hanggang sa paghahanap ko sa asawa ko matapos siyang mawala sa hindi inaasahang pagkakataon. Sa bawat segundo, naramdaman ko ang kaguluhan ng isip at bigat ng pag-aalala. Pinilit kong balikan ang normal na buhay, ngunit para bang may bahaging natitira sa akin na hindi makawala sa dilim ng karanasang iyon.
Ang linya sa pagitan ng panaginip at realidad ay naging manipis, mahirap tukuyin kung alin ang totoo at alin ang kathang-isip lang. Siguro nga, may bahagi ng isip natin na lumilikha ng mga ganitong sitwasyon upang ipakita ang ating mga takot at pangamba—mga damdaming hindi natin laging kayang ipahayag sa araw-araw. Sa huli, nagising ako sa tahanan, kapiling ang mga mahal ko sa buhay. Ngunit kahit ligtas na ako, hindi ko maialis ang tanong sa aking isip: alin sa mga ito ang panaginip, at alin ang realidad?

Isang karaniwang araw sa buhay ng isang Filipino professional ang nagbago nang mapunta siya sa isang hindi inaasahang pagsubok sa Pakistan. Sa isang takas at paglalakbay na tila wala nang katapusan, matutuklasan niya ang manipis na linya sa pagitan ng realidad at panaginip.
Buod ng Pelikula:
Simula: Si Meric Mara, isang matagumpay na propesyonal sa Pilipinas, ay namumuhay nang payak ngunit masaya. Nag-aalaga ng aso, nakikipag-ugnayan sa mga kliyente, at tinutupad ang kanyang tungkulin sa komunidad. Isang araw, nagpaalam siyang pupunta sa Pakistan para sa isang mahalagang proyekto. Hindi siya nag-atubiling iwan ang normal na buhay sa Pilipinas para harapin ang bagong hamon.
Pakistan at Ang Malagim na Pangyayari: Sa pagdating niya sa Pakistan, nag-umpisa ang lahat ng normal, at naging abala siya sa trabaho sa isang malaking kumpanya. Ngunit isang araw, siya ay dinukot ng isang grupo at dinala sa isang tagong pabrika. Hawak lang niya ang isang lumang bayong, ang kanyang salamin, at ang cellphone na hindi na gumagana. Matagumpay siyang nakatakas sa pabrika, ngunit walang mapuntahan at walang kilala sa bagong lugar.
Habang naglalakad sa madilim at tahimik na kalye, nakahanap siya ng isang maliit na tindahan. Walang ibang mapuntahan, pumasok siya, at nakiusap na makitulog sa sulok.

Naguluhan siya, sinuyod ang bawat sulok ng kanilang lugar, tumawag sa mga kaibigan at kamag-anak, ngunit walang makapagsabi kung nasaan ito. Isang hindi kilalang babae ang tumawag sa kanya, sinabing alam niya kung nasaan ang kanyang asawa, at nag-alok na sunduin siya sa bahay.
Pagkikita sa Kakaibang Babae: Dumating ang isang asul na sasakyan sa kanyang bahay. Kasama ng babae ang isang matipunong lalaki na may malamig na tingin. Walang nagawa si Meric kundi sumama sa kanila. Habang nagbibiyahe, napansin niyang may listahan ang babae, at ang pangalan niya ay nakasulat sa palad nito.
Tangkang Pagtakas at Ang Katotohanan: Biglang tumigil ang sasakyan sa isang tindahan. Ang babae ay bumaba upang tumawag, naiwan si Meric kasama ang matipunong lalaki. Narinig niya ang pag-uusap ng babae sa telepono, at naramdaman niyang nasa panganib siya. Biglang nagbago ang ihip ng sitwasyon, at sinubukan niyang tumakas, ngunit naharang siya ng lalaki. Bago siya matamaan ng suntok, bigla siyang nagising.
Balik sa Pakistan: Siya ay nasa tindahan sa Pakistan, kasama ang lumang bayong, salamin, at basag na cellphone. Lahat ng nangyari ay tila isang bangungot lang. Ngunit sa bawat sulok ng kanyang isip, tanong niya, “Hanggang saan ang totoo?”
Pagbabalik sa Realidad o Panibagong Panaginip?: Nagising siya sa Pilipinas, katabi ang kanyang asawa, ligtas at buo. Ngayon, hindi na niya sigurado kung ang kanyang normal na araw-araw na buhay ay panaginip din. Ang bawat kilos, bawat oras, ay puno ng alinlangan, tila iniisip kung kailan muling magkakaroon ng isa pang nakakabaliw na paglalakbay.

Allow me to share a personal story from my college years. During my fourth year of Computer Engineering, I grappled with a particularly challenging course: Thermodynamics. No matter how much I studied, the concepts seemed to elude me, and my confidence was shaken. I was on the verge of giving up, but then, a classmate who had once walked in my shoes offered his help. He dedicated hours to tutoring me, patiently explaining the material until I finally understood. This experience taught me the value of perseverance and seeking help.
