Bukas Palad and Kalinga Operation

On Nov 28, 2020 - Advocates from  8layer, Mulat Media, Maralabs, Kampo De Mara, and Rotary Club of Midtown Diliman went straight in the early morning to Brgy. Wawa, Pilillia Rizal for the "Bukas Palad and Kalinga Operation". This is an initiative to support our Kababyan that were greatly hit by Typhoon Uysses. 

This was coordinated properly with Brgy. Wawa. Their Captain and  Kagawads were very supportive in this initiative and helped us in executing the project complying with the health protocols mandated in their area.

Full of smiles and images of hope are things that are visible in the faces of the people in Brgy. Wawa. We always pray that they will be safe and will overcome the challenges left by the Typoon.

This initiative was supported by OCL K.S.A, RTS Philippines, RTS Malaysia, Dugtong Tulong and Istrat who donated goods that will be useful for our Kababayans.

No one is left behind.

On Nov. 21, 2020, RCMD once again mobilized and rallied to Daraitan, Rizal to help our kababayans who were greatly hit by Typhoon Ulysses.

 

RCMD donates sacks of rice, canned goods, new Clothes, blankets and more.

We salute RCMD Rotarians who supported this activity initiated by Rtn. Meric Mara and Ann Sophia Mara who called this program, "Bukas Palad and Kalinga Operation". 

 

 

Other donations are the ff:

1. PE Rex Britos and Rtn. Joshua Maquiling --donated 10 sacks of rice

2. IPP Ben donated 5 Thousand Pesos

3. Joel and Irish - Donated 1K Pesos/Volunteer work

4. SC Meric Mara and Ann Sophia 30K and new clothes / Volunteer work

5. PP Emong for sacks of new shirts and pajamas

6. Ann Doya, Agnes and Glenda --Blankets

7. Johanna- 1.5K

8. Glenn and Glenda- 500 pesos and blankets/Volunteer work

9. Jao and Aubrey --- Volunteer work

10. Allan and Beth -- Volunteer work

11. Erwin Galang and Ann Lyz --Coffee and Donuts for Volunteers

And our Transforming President and Ann Celi who donated 2K pesos. 

 

The Rotary of Makati also collaborated with RMCD led by President Peter, First Ann Pam Manzano and Rtn. Ron Dotaro. They supported this initiative and served about 530 meals with mineral water to feed the our kababayans. This happened through the Rotary Club of Makati Paul Harris Kitchen, in partnership with Stepping Stone School.

 

With this activity, no one is left behind and all the families in Brgy. Daraitan got the support they needed from the generosity and sincerity of our fellow Rotarians and friends.
