Creating your Own GRUB SplashImage

May mga nagsisimula palang sa linux na nagtatanong kung paano papalitan yung grub Splash image Nila
eto yung munting tulong para magawa ninyo ito.

bale yung ginagamit kong OS is CENTOS 4.4

1. mahalagang meron kang GIMP na program sa paggawa ng iloload mong image
2. i load yung image na paborito mo sa GIMp or gumawa ka ng sarili mong image
3. Iresize yung image sa 640x480 magagawa mo ito sa pamamagitan ng pag CLICK
Image > Scale Image (640px) (480px) then click Scale
4. Reduce the amount of colors used in the image to 14
Image>Mode>indexed Colours
Seto Maximum Number of colors set to "14" tapos click "ok"
5. save sa .png format (yung sa akin isinave ko sya ng "splash_meric.png")

ImageMagik Installation

1.Install ImageMagik (using yum) <---kasi kailangan natin ng convert command na kasama sa Imagemagik na package.
yum install ImageMagik

Creating your Own SplashImage:

1.convert -colors 14 splash_meric.png splashimage.xpm && gzip splashimage.xpm
2. mv splashimage.xpm.gz to /boot/grub na directory
3. edit menu.lst at i modify yung splashimage na line depende sa splash image na ginawa nyo.

4. grub-install hd0 <--ginagawa ko ito pag mageedit ako ng splashimage line.
5. reboot.

tapos..manalangin kayo ng taimtim at sana makita nyo yung image na gusto nyong magload habang nag bu-boot yung OS nyo.
